Turtle-y Texas: Exploring Sea Turtles in the Lone Star State

Did you know that Texas has a state turtle? It’s the Kemp’s ridley!

Texas Sea Grant and the Inland Ocean Coalition’s North Texas Chapter invite you to enjoy an afternoon dedicated to sea turtle conservation on Tuesday August 25th at 2pm CST, to learn more about sea turtle species found in Texas, citizen science opportunities with the new iSeaturtle app, sustainable fisheries, eating American seafood and the nurdle (plastic pollution) issue along the Texas coast. Join us along with our amazing panelists who work hard to protect our Texas sea turtles:

Laura Picariello, Fisheries Specialist, Texas Sea Grant

Jace Tunnell, Director of the Mission Aransas National Estuarine Research Reserve, the University of Texas Marine Science Institute (UTMSI)
