Our Texas Master Naturalist Specialty License Plate is here!!

Join us and show off your Texas Master Naturalist membership, support of the program, your love of dragonflies and commitment to conservation education through volunteer service all over your city, county, Texas, and beyond! By purchasing a Texas Master Naturalist license plate, you will be directly providing financial support back to our program and its conservation and stewardship of Texas’ natural resources.  ANYONE can purchase this plate and $22 of each $30 annual plate fee comes directly back to the Texas Master Naturalist Program for continuing our mission.

We are just as excited as you are to see this plate finally launch and we can’t wait to start seeing these license plates pop up on vehicles all across Texas! This has been an event years in the making, and so many people helped along the way that got us to where we are now. Thanks to all of those who contributed to getting a plate developed and launched. Frequently-Asked Questions

I ordered a plate. When will I get it?

It will take two to three weeks to receive your new plate. Online orders will be available for pickup at your local County Tax Office. Orders placed in person at your local County Tax Office will be mailed to your home address. Contact TxDMV Customer Service if you have any issues with your plate order.

Can I order a plate before my registration renewal is due?

Yes! You can order your plate at any time. Note that you may have to pay additional prorated fees depending on your registration expiry month/year. Contact the Texas DMV for specific information regarding your registration.

How much does this specialty plate cost?

A standard specialty plate costs $30 annually with $22 coming to the Texas Master Naturalist Program. A personalized plate has a $70 annual fee with a portion coming back to TMN.

Does the plate fee include my annual vehicle registration fee?

No, fees for your annual registration are not included.
