The Texas Master Naturalist™ Statewide Curriculum
The purpose of the Statewide Curriculum and Basic Training Guide is to share the updated Texas Master Naturalist curriculum’s unit goals, and to give a few sample agendas with suggestions on ways to incorporate the curriculum units together and utilize local resource locations for field experiences.
Unit goals are goals that may be accomplished after the volunteer has read each curriculum unit. This curriculum will give your chapter presenters an idea of the base knowledge volunteers should have from reading the curriculum unit prior to attending class. Ideally, the presenter may teach above and beyond that which is presented by the curriculum unit and customize their presentation to issues specific to the local area. Volunteers can add additional materials obtained in class to the respective section of the state curriculum.
