Travis County

Travis County has two active chapters: the Capital Area Chapter and the Balcones Canyonlands Chapter. Select below which chapter website you would like to be directed to.

Note: If you are a prospective member, feel free to join whichever chapter suits your schedule, is the best location, or just has a group of people you get along with well! If needed, you are able to transfer between chapters once you complete your training.

Balcones Canyonlands Chapter Mark

Balcones Canyonlands Chapter

This chapter was founded in 2014, and mainly serves the western and norther parts of Travis County. It is made up of a combination of community members and students from Concordia University.

Capital Area Chapter Mark

Capital Area Chapter

This chapter was founded in 1998 and is the second Master Naturalist Chapter in Texas. The Capital Area Chapter serves those in Austin and surrounding communities in Travis County.
