AgriLife Vendor Application (W-9) – Applicant must provide a chapter W-9 form to be eligible for consideration. This form is attached below. Please download it and fill it out prior to submitting your application.

Templates – Attached below are resources that you may use during your application process. Within the application, you must attach a budget and species list. The templates below are for your convenience, you may use them or create your own, but you must provide these items.

FAQs

What is the “Pollinators for Texas” project?

The “Pollinators for Texas” project is a collaborative initiative between Texas Master Naturalist and HEB aimed at enhancing native pollinator conservation across Texas through funding community projects and educational outreach.

How much funding is available for local chapters?

Chapters can apply for financial awards of up to $4,000 to support various initiatives.

Who can apply for the financial awards?

All Texas Master Naturalist chapters in good standing are eligible to apply for the financial awards to fund their local pollinator conservation initiatives after receiving approval from their local chapter board.

Do we have to provide a Tax ID?

Yes, a Tax ID is required for the W-9 form. If your chapter instead, has a TIN/EIN this can also be provided but is not required. Please reach out to your chapter board, they may be able to help you attain this information. For resources, you can access the IRS website for more information using the link below:

Does our chapter have to be a 501C3 to receive funds?

No, your chapter does not have be a 501C3 organization.

Are there any restrictions on the budget allocation for project expenses?

Money received from this project cannot go towards advertising, individuals, transportation, political events or fundraisers of any kind.

Can chapters collaborate with other organizations outside of TMN?

Yes! It is important to keep in mind that financial awards will only be allocated to chapters, however, TMN encourages partnerships amongst outside entities as well as neighboring chapters.

Is there a minimum size (Acreage or Sq. Footage) on habitat projects?

No, there is no minimum size requirement. All habitat projects are welcome, regardless of their scale. Each project brings unique opportunities and characteristics that contribute to its overall impact. Be sure to highlight what makes your chapter’s habitat project distinct and meaningful.
